A performance that explores the work and life of Italian writer and actress Goliarda Sapienza starting from the mother-daughter relationship. The scene is a paper corridor inhabited by two women: while one performer embodies real and fictitious figures from the Sicilian author’s universe, the other transcribes Sapienza’s poem To my mother by hand. Daughter of anarchists, Goliarda Sapienza (1924-1996) lived intensely without ever aligning herself with the culture of her time. Her childhood in Sicily, the exile, the theater and cinematographic career, fascism, psychoanalysis, imprisonment, homosexual love, the oblivion caused by the lack of recognition of her works in life are pieces that fit into the discourse and, intermittently, appear as if evoked, bringing with them encounters, thoughts and sensations.

MEET THE ARTISTS
Giulia Bocciero is a performer and independent author. In her early years of training, she worked with Dario Fo (2003) and explored the languages of dance theater, singing, and theatrical improvisation (Revelation Student 2010, ImproTeatro). In 2017, she graduated from the Performing Arts University of Turin and earned a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from UNIURB. That same year, she co-founded the theater collective Nouvelle Plague with Davide Simonetti. Subsequently, she completed an Executive Master’s in Social and Community Theater (2018–2020) and earned another degree in Communication and Media Cultures from UNITO in 2022. Her most recent play was a finalist for the Carlo Annoni International Playwriting Prize in 2024.
Alice Camoriano is a performer, actress, and dance author. She graduated with honors in Professional Education from the University of Turin and completed her training at the Performing Arts University of Turin. She also trained as a Community Dancer and Theater Facilitator at the Casa del Teatro Ragazzi e Giovani in Turin. Alice has been dancing since childhood, exploring various techniques (modern jazz, classical, African, hip hop, butoh, acrobatics, and sensitive dance) before developing a passion for contemporary dance. She is currently a member of ATF Players Company, Collectif Acrocinus, and the TastierACorpi collective. Alice teaches dance at the Arti e Balletti Association in Turin and collaborates with other artists on various interdisciplinary projects.
