The second test run of At Your Scent is an intimate, reflective and immersive scent-based storytelling experience designed for two. Guided by the performer, two test audience members follow the retrospective trail of scent left behind at the crossroads of meeting, choosing and integrating into one another. At Your Scent provides a brief pause in time to ask the following questions while re-encountering memory and nostalgia through scent: What brings two people together? Is it fate or is it choice? Would we take the same path if we go back in time? Is there such a thing as past life?
About Pa:nStori Productions
Pa:nStori Productions is a live performance company dedicated to crafting immersive, sense-driven experiences through storytelling. Born from a desire to break away from traditional theater structures and fixed genres, our work embraces fluidity, disruption, and experimentation.
The name Pa:nStori blends the Korean word Pa:n (판) — meaning a place or setup where something unfolds — with a reimagined form of the word “story,” reflecting our commitment to storytelling that resists linearity and embraces multiplicity. Each performance is a Pa:n: a space in motion, where narratives are not just told, but felt, constructed, and deconstructed in real time.
We believe performance is not merely something to be watched, but something to be experienced — viscerally, sensually, and collectively. Through layered storytelling and bold theatrical language, we invite audiences into a shared space where boundaries blur: between performer and spectator, fiction and reality, sound and silence, the seen and the sensed.

Notes About the Production
- This is an intimate, two-person experience.
- Audience members will be blindfolded during the performance.
- You are welcome to RSVP alone or with friends, family, or a partner. Solo participants will be paired with another individual for the experience.
- The performer may lightly touch the audience on the shoulders, hands, or face. Audience members may also be invited to make gentle physical contact with one another. If you prefer not to be touched, please let us know in advance by emailing admin@panstori.com
- If you have any scent-related allergies or sensitivities, please inform us ahead of time.
- This is a test run. Your interactions may be recorded and/or used to inform the future development of this work.
- Photographs/Video may also be taken during the experience.

MEET THE ARTISTS
Chaesong Kim (Director/Writer):
김채송 / Chaesong Kim (she/they) is a theater director and performance artist wrestling with the concept of “”kind rage.”” It is a practice, tendency, and sentiment that recontextualizes inherited and embodied pain into taking care, allowing time, and creating braver and safer spaces. Creating such communal, imaginative, and rebellious work, Chaesong utilizes somatic, dramatic and interdisciplinary practices. This summer, she will be devising the twelfth iteration of an intermedia project, She Walks the Air, with the support of NYSCA, and returning to Bearnstow as its Resident Artist. Recent credits: I know why Iris Chang died by Esme Maria Ng (Live & In Color, 4 Plays And), Welcome to my room by Yeena Sung (Edinburgh Fringe Festival). MFA: Columbia University. Manatsu Tanaka (Performer):
Manatsu (They/them) is a bicultural, multi-disciplinary artist and an organizer involved with the Palestinian Liberation movement and PACBI mobilization. They were recently performing and originated the role of Lohktina in Death of Rasputin, an immersive theater piece that ran from April to June 2025. Andrew Agress (Dramaturg/Experience Designer):
Andrew Agress is a theater artist and writer based in NYC. Recent credits include The Fantastical Fellowship, an interactive fantasy spoof that enjoyed sold out performances at FRIGID, Der Ring Gott Farblonjet, another fantasy spoof, The Gorilla Wore Fur, a noir spoof, as well as Jyoti’s Bridge, She Walks the Air, and The Seagull (The Tech Rehearsal). Andrew’s interactive show Raiders of the Local Adventure will travel to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer. When not working on interactive theater, Andrew also writes for The Theatre Times and The Outerhaven. Andrew received their MFA in Dramaturgy from Columbia University. He previously lived in Chicago, performing and studying improv at The Second City Conservatory, The Annoyance, and iO. Andrew believes in making shows experiential and engaging the audience in the live event. www.andrewagress.com
