MEET THE ARTISTS

NOELLE GONZALEZ (Director)
Originally from the border city of El Paso, Texas, Noelle (they/them) is a queer Brooklyn-based teacher, director, organizer and comedian. Outside of their work as a high school theatre teacher, Noelle can be found producing improvisational work with marginalized groups for community aid such as Masc Mandate and Spice Rack! This is their first time directing a project with grown adults!!

SOPHIA STIO (Writer)
Sophia Stio is a Brooklyn-based comedy writer and Reba McEntire super-fan. Stio’s writing has been featured in The Belladonna Comedy and Weekly Humorist. Two summers ago, she lectured the general public about the inception of oat milk in her one-woman show, OAT . She can be seen around Brooklyn performing with her beloved sketch comedy group, Sketch, or at improv festivals such as Fun & Dumb. She grew up going to GapBody, so this is huge for her.

BAIZ HOEN (Denise)
Baiz Hoen is a writer, comedian, and audio producer based in Brooklyn, New York. She is thrilled to be joining the cast of Gap Play and paying homage to the family members and neighbors who remind her of Denise. When she’s not on stage, she can be found getting her Masters in Journalism at Columbia University and performing her duties as one of the five mythic members of indie improv team Midwives.

MARISSA MOORHEAD (Sharon)
Marissa Moorhead is a Brooklyn-based actor, improviser and sketch comedian who is thrilled to be returning to the stage in GAP Play. She studied clown, Shakespeare and improvisational comedy at UC Santa Cruz, UCB and BCC. When she’s not on stage you can find her behind the camera taking headshots and portraits all over Brooklyn.

KATHLEEN GUERRERO (Cheryl)
Kathleen Guerrero/ Kat is a Mexican-American/Tejana artist, activist, and scholar based in Brooklyn, NY. She is excited to be apart of this hilarious project! Her recent credits include: TV/Film: CaliPower (dir. Annie Woo), Late to the Party (dir. Rebeca Peres Bernal), White Knuckles (dir. Gianna Dagini), and more. Theatre: Te Quiero en South Street Seaport (PRTT), Julius Caesar (Riverside Theatre), Men on Boats (David Thayer Theatre), and more.

KATIE KENDRICK (Ivy)
Katie is a theatermaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Recent credits include Little Katie (The Tank), The Trojan Women (Sly Theater Co), and Stan (Ghostlight Theater Co). She is having so much fun.

COREY ROSEVEAR (Damian)
Corey is a former theatre kid from Australia who stumbled into the Brooklyn comedy scene. He’s performed in several improv shows of mixed critical acclaim at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective. Gap Play is his first attempt in several years at scripted comedy and first ever playing an American, please adjust expectations accordingly.

NOA WORSEK ROSENBERG (Sharon/Swing)
Noa Worsek Rosenberg is a Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based writer and actor with untapped vocal potential. Usually, you can find her performing with Midwives Improv on stage or online. Her last play, Indoor Kids, premiered at Edinburgh Fringe and re-premiered several years later in New York.
