When Justin Jager, a restless actor living in New York City, casts his best friends in his original show, he knows that writing the best play ever will be hard. What he’ll learn is that writing himself is even harder. One Man Screaming is an act of self-creation. It’s what happens when you put a playwright in the play he’s trying to make perfect. Join Justin and his friends as they discover what it takes to be an artist, what it means to be a friend, and the dangers of playing yourself onstage.

About the Artists

Alexandra Brokowski is a New York based actor who is thrilled to make her NYC debut in One Man Screaming as Alexandra. Regional credits include Curious Incident…Nighttime, The Wolves, and She Kills Monsters at Connecticut Repertory Theatre. Annie Stachura is living in Boston and getting her MFA in fiction writing while moonlighting as the front desk receptionist for a boutique orthodontic office on Newbury Street. She is very excited to be playing herself in One Man Screaming, a part she was born to play. She attended the 2021 Yale Writers’ Workshop, is a recipient of Emerson’s Presidential Fellowship, and received the top prize in fiction for the 2022 Emerson Graduate Awards for her short story, ‘The Improbability of Tigers in Suburbia’. Jason Keane is a 25 year-old Actor/Writer who graduated with a degree in Theater Performance from Western Connecticut State University’s Theater Program in 2018.
