Adaptive Design Association advances healthcare, education, and social well-being by engaging everyone—novice to expert—in building custom adaptations, discovering untapped potential, and nurturing communities that thrive with diversity. Over the past 20 years, we have created thousands of adaptations for children in NYC, provided hundreds of hands-on classes and internships, and enthusiastically supported people launching adaptive design centers around the world.
ChaShaMa (266 W. 37th)
Chashama supports artists by partnering with property owners to transform unused real estate into space to create and present, and provides free art classes for under-resourced communities.

Nick Accardi, the owner of Tavola, Tavolino and the building that house the historic Manganaro Sandwich store, will tell a bit of the history of the area and will give the audience a taste of a special Roma and Sicilian pizza (which is cooked in a frying pan) and a spritz!
Theaterlab (357 West 36th Street)
THEATERLAB presents and develops new, experimental and international work, including theater, music and visual arts. Recent productions include Magdalena by Guggenheim Fellow Gabri Christa, Nylon by Sofia Alvarez, Rasen by Naomi Iwakawa and Let Me Cook for You by Artistic Director Orietta Crispino. The company has also presented work by international artists of note, including Reut Shemesh, Linda Olthof, Jacques Perdigues, Pierre Kauffmann, Karine Laval and Carolina Fonseca.
