Bad Trips was born in the shadows of the Skinny Apartment in Ridgewood, NY in the earliest days of the pandemic lockdown. Three rippers eager to hang and consume copious amounts of horror, sci-fi and b movies, resulting in sessions spanning everything from expansive dark electronic to sprawling psych rock. Featuring members of Painted Faces, Aviary and Slasher Risk.

Sean Devlin, known by the moniker instant messenger, is a Philadelphia-based experimental sound artist. Using a blend stringed instruments, electronics, and site-specific sounds, he attempts to create a hectic, anxious atmosphere that falls out of control and often fails at attempts to reel it back in.

Samvel Krajian is an Armenian-American composer and sound artist based in New York. Through work that is both intimate and expansive, Krajian employs sound as the guiding force in exploring the heterogeneity of identity and self in the post-digital era. Drawing from an eclectic mix of sounds and concepts, his work engages with both found and designed sonic material to architect self-referential experiences encompassing virtual and IRL spaces. In his upcoming project, “APAKI,” Krajian explores deep learning to serve as a collaborative agent in creating digital art and electronic sound processes. 

Tomato Jake is a solo multi media drummer living in Lancaster Pennsylvania. He has spent the last decade touring the south east, performing intense zeuhl style drumming complimented with spastic retro vgm sounding music. Additionally, found footage visuals are included to provide a torrent of sight and sound leaving folks wondering what just happened to them. With the release of 2022’s ‘Identity Crisis’ Tomato Jake has solidified himself as a force to reckoned with and one not to be missed.
