THEATERLAB PRESENTS

Two Saints : a work in progress showing

Created and performed by Sylvia Milo

Two Saints : work-in-progress showing from the creators of The Other Mozart and 7 Magdalenes. Who are the figures who emerge as guiding lights in one’s life? For one girl growing up under a totalitarian regime in 1980s Poland, two people had a profound influence: Popieluszko (a young priest of the Solidarity movement) and Elvis.

Two Saints grapples with the existence of light and darkness in our lives, of earth, flesh and spirit, of homeland, dreams and immigration.

Who are your Saints?

Written, performed, and directed by Sylvia Milo with music composed and performed by Nathan Davis. Their Little Matchstick Factory creates music theater that connects characters, archetypes and narratives from the past with pivotal issues of our time. LMF’s work is built with extensive research, the centering of primary sources, the integral use of sound, and the incorporation of ritual.
