MEET THE ARTISTS
Anne D’Innocenzio (performer, writer) is a national business writer for one of the world’s largest news organizations. When not reporting, Anne loves playing piano and going to museums and theater in this magical city.  She performed on and off at the New Talent Shows at Carolines on Broadway before the pandemic, riffing about her overprotective Italian Catholic mother and her family. The premise of the “Red Light Zones” was first workshopped in early 2017 at the now defunct Go Solo Workshop in Manhattan with instructor Christine R. Miller. But a serious health diagnosis forced her to pull out of the workshop soon after. A year later, Anne started up again with Christine, recasting and expanding her show and has been working with her ever since then- even through the pandemic-induced lockdowns. Anne received her bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Christine R. Miller (director, dramaturge ) has helped creators develop almost 100 solo shows over the last decade or so. Christine first started out as a solo show writer/performer and created two pieces, BABY COW and SUCH NICE SHOES, then director, and then teacher of the craft. It was an unexpected niche in the world of theater and it’s been a joy. Along the way, she’s continued her acting career in film, TV, and commercials with some recent highlights including: SPOILER ALERT (December ’22 theatrical release), Power Book II: GHOST (recurring, Starz), and as the new spokesperson for LUBRIDERM. Get your lotion! She also teaches Playwriting at Wilkes University in their MFA Creative Writing program. Working with Anne on her show, The Red Light Zones, has been a riot. Thank you for supporting her and her story. Enjoy! www.christineRmiller.com
